Trick or Threat?
It's already evening, and I have been standing alone right here, in front of the door of this old house, which has many spider's webs in any part. This is just the outer part of this house, but the effort of the owner can already be seen and felt here.
It's been 10 minutes, but I couldn't look away because I was spotting every decoration here. All is good, but what's lacking are the lights, which are off before even I stop here.
Worried that my mom is waiting for me, I go with my intention and fix my posture and the witchy hat I am wearing. Then I knocked on the door of this house.
After three knocks, I was audibly surprised when the door automatically opened, but no one faced me.
It's very dark in there; there are no lights again. I think it's part of their intention to give tricks to youngsters. They want to play tricks, huh?
"Trick or treats!" I shouted, but no one responded. But it's getting hot in here; the heat is coming from this open door.
Out of curiosity, I took one step forward, but then someone pulled me away from the door. I moved my head immediately to see who pulled me, but then none.
When I looked back at the house, I was astonished to see nothing there.
"W-what? There's a house in there." I murmured.
Before I get curious again, I heard someone, an old voice behind me.
"Be aware; it's the way to hell," she whispered.
This is the moment when I got goosebumps.
I got tricked and threatened.
