She Lifted Our Pride
The barbel's kilogram is heavier than hers,
yet she lifted it like the big boss,
who carries the pride of all Filipinos,
and made the women's power arose.
Hearing the buzzer—the time stops ticking,
she's extremely jovial and her tears are gushing,
she let go the barbel, ending the competition,
and her name was called, hailed as champion.
The gold medal shines as it handed to her,
it was the greatest moment that everybody can't ignore,
reminiscing her sacrifices, failures, and hardships from before,
that turns out to be the real challenges she lifted with her palm that feels sore.
She became well-known and inspiring,
not merely as a woman who do weightlifting,
but also a good role model that keeps on going,
fighting and surpassing after failing.
The national anthem was played so loud,
all Filipinos are extremely proud,
Hidilyn Diaz is beyond the high level,
because she did not just lifted the heavy barbel.
