Shadows of Memory

Shadows of Memory by Colin Cris Celestial

After embracing and genuinely exchanging smiles with each other, I suddenly notice a disturbing scene happening near our side.

I saw one manly figure holding a scary weapon against the innocent teenager. It is a baseball bat, and then, with one violent force exerted, it makes the kid in the scene fall on his knees and cough blood.

I couldn't lift off my gaze when a woman approached them. Thinking she would help the poor teen, I was baffled when she slapped him instead. Luckily, I haven't experienced any of that. That is such cruelty.

As a concerned being witnessing such treatment, I wildly shook my head because of the disbelief. I snapped and went in their direction. When I was about to cease the situation, everything drifts to a new whole scene; it is where reality wakes me.

I finally remember it all.

All traumas embraced me now, making me regret the absence of amnesia.

I thought I was lucky.
