Cupid's Broken Arrow

A poem related to requited-unrequited love.

It feels no ordinary to be in love like this,

His scent is what makes me crazy, and his kiss,

short absence yet all of him that I miss,

I'm getting to the point where I want to be his.

So romantic that the flames are burning me so good,

I can't help but keep falling into this kind of mood,

Nothing can go wrong, and I want to keep this in wood.

barking all the memories like I would.

Yet while in the heat of this romance,

His touch now feels cold like an Antarctic's ice,

My thumping heart was easily sliced,

Splitting into outnumbered pieces and saying sorry won't suffice.

Days and nights had passed,

Those carved memories became the past,

The burning flames did not last,

Our solid relationship burned to ash.

This only shows the pain and reality,

I can love like it is for eternity,

But it will no longer be requited by somebody,

for it is not the plan of destiny.
