About Young Pilipinas
It is often acknowledged that one of the foundations of culture is literature, as it guides those who gaze upon the mind and life of its creator. Every story retells a soul’s journey, and every poem sung materializes passion and emotions. These literary works highlight the beauty and richness of the culture represented. Showing this charm to the world is the backbone of Young Pilipinas since it started.
About the Founder - Neil Gregori Garen
Neil Gregori Garen founded Young Pilipinas in March 2021. He is a Political Science graduate from Colegio de San Juan de Letran and has over 12 years of experience in social media, digital media, and public relations.
He started Young Pilipinas as a platform for Young Filipinos to share their poems, flash fiction, and other literary works since he is also an avid reader.
Young Pilipinas Poems and Young Pilipinas Flash Fictions
A poem is often written in short lines with rhymes or in metaphorical form while flash fiction is the love child of short stories and poems. Even if these kinds of writings are in short form, the tales that should be relayed reach the hearts of people who have found these. As the pace of society moves at breakneck speeds, Philippine poetry and flash fiction allow readers to enjoy breathtaking works without consuming much of their time. Due to the convenience it gives, more Filipinos are interested in making this type of literature.
As of May 2023, Young Pilipinas has a compilation of 500 original poems and flash fictions. All are contributed by Young Filipino writers.
